World Happiness Report 2026: No English-Speaking Nation in Top 10
According to the 2026 edition of the World Happiness Report, a significant change is observed in the current year, as Costa Rica is ranked among the top five for the first time in Latin America. The positions are based on criteria such as social support, personal freedom, trust in institutions, and a lack of corruption. It is observed that English-speaking countries are losing ground, and none of them are ranked among the top 10.
Finland holds the number one spot due to its excellent social support and easy access to nature. Iceland and Denmark are ranked high due to their sense of community and social trust. Costa Rica is ranked among the top five due to its sense of community and nature, and Sweden is ranked due to its economic development and equality.
